Archinect states that it is a "destination for progressive-design oriented students, architects, educators, and fans". It contains features, as well as news, views, jobs, links, books, image gallery, event calendar and discussion, a <a href="http://archinect.com/salary_questionnaire/index.php">salary poll</a>, and the <a href="http://archinect.com/schoolblog/index.php">school blog project</a>.

Archiseek focuses on country-specific websites, with information on the latest architecture news, book reviews and details of international competitions, events and conferences. There are illustrated guides to the architecture of cities around the world, and features on particular buildings, current architectural projects, and details of architects and images of the building being discussed.

Building Design


www.bdonline.co.uk Bdonline provides news, project news, practical advice, building studies and comment for architects. The site is updated daily by the same team behind the weekly architecture newspaper Building Design.


Higher Education Design Quality Forum (HEDQF)

The HEDQF aims to improve the performance of buildings and estates in universities and higher education colleges. It was formed in 1995 to provide a long term forum for discussions between procurers in the higher education sector and the architectural profession, and meets four times a year.

Intute


<a href="http://www.intute.ac.uk/artsandhumanities/architecture/">Intute</a> is an initiative to bring good quality web-based scholarly information in one place. It is funded by the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) and the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC). Intute includes a database of architecture resources on the web, selected by subject specialists and aimed at the academic community.

New London Architecture


<a href="http://www.newlondonarchitecture.org/index.php">New London Architecture</a> (NLA) is acentre for display, debate and networking. There is a permanent exhibition of a 1:1500 scale model of Central London, surrounded by a display showing a cross section of current building projects, is enhanced by a programme of temporary exhibitions addressing London issues. The website has information about the project, events, exhibitions and conferences. The website states that the project 'is funded bycompanies and organisations that have an interest in promoting and improving the awareness of high quality design for the built environment in London to a professional and public audience'.
